Un banc pour mémoire / A memory bench

Un banc érigé en mémoire de l'hôpital installé ici pour les soldats durant la Première Guerre Mondiale.
(Sur la dernière photo, on devine un deuxième banc à l'arrière-plan)

A bench in memory of an hospital for the soldiers during the First World War.
(On the last picture, there's an other little bench behind)

Another very sad, but beautiful monument. I had a relative on my father's side die in France in 1918 during the War. I have his medal and certificate signed by General Pershing and plan one day to research my great cousin's life. The centennial of 1914 is soon approaching and there should be many ceremonies and events marking the War.

A well sculptured memorial to all those millions of young person who lost their lives in that mindless war. You country suffered badly - they need to be honoured.

Such a fitting memory bench! A great honor to those who served and to know they will never be forgotten.
