I have never walked around Versailles, but it is high on my list. I have a feeling that those benches would be nice to use after such a walk.

So many benches! I wonder if there is something special that happens there to have so many? Please excuse my ignorance about ports. . .

It's not a port, it's a tramway station! :-)). And there are many benches because the sation is in a place with a lot of universities, congress halls, etc..And on the road to "Chateau de Versailles.."
