Un vieux banc riche / An old rich bench

Pourquoi vieux?

Why old?
Those benches already existed when I was a child. So, it is some decades old :-)).
Why rich?
People used to wedge some money in the circles in the metal ; It was like writing graffiti today, a way to show you were there. After, it was impossible to take the money back.
If you enlarge the picture, you'll see on the right side f the picture that some of this money is Ancient francs, a french money used only until the beginning of the sixties.. This bench is at least 50 years old!

I am so glad that I enlarged both photos -- to actually SEE the bench in the first one that was so drk and to see the coins in the 2nd one. Great find! Personally, 50 isn't THAT old! Ü

It's not old for you, but it's old for a bench! Ü
